Is a flat membrane roof an issue when mounting a plant/mechanical platform?  Not at all.

Supporting a substantial load of mechanical gear and HVAC plant, plinths were laid beneath the membrane providing a fixing for us to mount the platform to.  The smartguard gutter infills completed the project, by providing a larger trafficable area around the perimeter of the roof, and easy maintenance by preventing debris build up.
